I spent most of my childhood in the tropics and grew up eating fruits from there.
Tropical fruits are rare around here in Australia so I tend to miss them a lot.
Here are my top five favourites:
*They are in no order of importance, I love them all equally*
They’re so sweet and juicy. I could just snack on them all day long.
This native Malaysian fruit is quite refreshing to eat and is a close relative of longan and lychee.
I like the bitterness and sweetness of this originally Indonesian fruit.
Regardless of the ‘purple’ mess I get into while eating mangosteins, I do anything to get to it’s soft, white, flesh.
5. DURIAN aka ‘The King of Fruits’
People who haven’t grown up with eating durian are rarely able to appreciate it. But I love me a good durian! It tastes AMAZING. It’s messy to eat and your breath smells so much afterward, however it’s all worth it!
