Flashback to my December in 2014:
I spent Christmas in Scandinavia last year and one of the highlights was a romantic evening at Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark. Tivoli Gardens opened in 1843 and is said to be the second-oldest amusement park in the world. It was in fact the most romantic place I’ve ever been to. It makes you feel like you’re in a fairy tale. It was a beautiful authentic Scandinavian Christmas evening equipped with mulled wine.
As 2015 comes to a close, we all need a break to reflect and for some, escape. What better way than to wander around a gorgeous theme park and ‘pleasure garden’ like Tivoli.
I am currently writing this post from Singapore. Gardens by the Bay has a Winter Wonderland arranged this year except in 25 to 35 degree Celsius heat. I haven’t been to it…yet. It certainly won’t be the same or authentic for that matter. But I know, once you go to Tivoli at Christmas time, nothing else will compare. To get away for a moment, feast your eyes on Tivoli:
