Yesterday afternoon I caught up with a friend who I haven’t seen in 2 years. It was a lovely little reunion. We decided to meet at Flinders Station and grab a bite to eat close by. Couldn’t have picked a better place to catch up than Degraves street. Degraves street is a neat little laneway tucked between Flinders street and Flinders lane. This adorable laneway is a popular place for people to enjoy a meal, grab a coffee or pick up a snack. The weather wasn’t so friendly, it rained most of the time, so we stayed in the this little laneway and migrated from cafe to cafe.
First we visited Cafe Andiamo for some Italian lunch. There we shared the Alla Pana Fettucini which cost a reasonable $16.80.
Then we picked up some desert from Little Cupcakes, a shop which specialises in mini cupcakes. They offer a wide range of flavours with an affordable price of $2.20 per mini cupcake! I got the “Salted Caramel” and “Red Velvet” cupcake and they taste amazing. The icing on top is perfect.
To compliment our sweet treats we felt that we needed a hot chocolate and Degraves Espresso was just the place to get one.
